Out of My Rear Window 7-17-11

It's a beautiful Morning, bright and sunny, but, it's going to get hot and humid later on.  We're in a moderate drought right now, and I had to break down last week and get the sprinklers out.  Before that, I had been hand watering, just the gardens, but, I was beginning to think that the trees might need a drink or two, also.  So, that nice green grass would be beginning to parch, I think, if I hadn't started watering.
Summer clouds dapple the sky.

I was a little late getting the food out this morning, and this squirrel was waiting impatiently.
Oh heck!  I'll get it myself!
Oh, please, give us our breakfast soon!

After I fed, the Breakfast Club congregated quickly.
The little begger brought his relatives.  Six?  Really?  No wonder my yard is full of holes.
The birds were quick to arrive, too.  This young Cardinal was having a little difficulty figuring out the feeder.  He was more interested in seeing what was going on around him.
Is this the blackbird seat?
Three for one, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Cardinal and Chickadee.
I don't deal with heat and humidity well, so I'll probably stick close to home today.  Maybe I'll read, maybe I'll nap, maybe I'll do some housework (nah, probably not.)  Whatever your day is like, I hope it's enjoyable, in every way.

Well, I guess all you are missing now is a moose and a bear! You sure do have lots of animal friends! The chipmunks are so cute!

I love seeing those squirrels trying with everything they've got to get into the feeders! And that little chipmunk begging is just too cute. I don't know if that is Chip or Dale, but he has good manners! Stay inside where it's cool and enjoy not doing housework!

All I could think of in reading this post, was it's a good thing your diner isn't closed on Sunday's! :-)

look at all the company you had! Those pesky squirrels! I cant' help but love them, despite their destructive habbits and robbing of feeders!

catching up with your posts -- I loved the wildflower walk and oh! the daylily farm! dancing Crab is my favorite of your choices -- but they're all beauties!

Love the squirrels and chipmunks... but I guess they can be pests. One of my friends calls them fuzzy-tailed rats!

Yes, Louise, Blogger has been crapping all over me! Very disgusted, not sure what the reason is. It's totally bending me out of shape! Thanks for looking me up! Though that's not how it's supposed to work!

Great Pictures of your lovely green garden and grass. Is that a red winged black bird? I saw one years ago while we were on vacation but we don't have them in Raleigh. It is so hot here the squirrels are stretching out on their bellies spread eagle under the deck bench.
You would love Bald Head Island...lots of nature and trails BUT don't go in the summer. LOL

You have a very active feeder! Congress could take a lesson from those squirrels and ground squirrels getting along so nicely!
