i, OF COURSE, HAVE NO IDEA, BUT IT IS STILL NICE TO BE BACK READING BLOGS. Hit the caps lock by mistake, hurrying to read as many blogs as possible in the next half hour.
I much prefer this sweet pile than having them scattered all over the grass. I like to walk barefoot and the pinecone pieces are murderous! I bet it's a chipmunk. I can just see him there, mining the nuts and stuffing this cheek pouches!

How neat! I've never seen pine cone husks left around here..we've got a ton, too.
around here that woud be the work of a Douglas Squirrel , our native squirrel
I would think chipmunk before squirrel but who knows, perhaps one of your Grays has "gone native"
I couldn't venture a guess, but whoever it was, was very tidy about it!
Most likely, a Red Squirrel.

I think someone left behind their confetti!!

Who ever enjoyed the pine cone husks was sure a neat-nick. -- barbara
How nice for the critter to leave your sunflower seeds and corn alone! A really interesting picture!
Blessings!
