My Gina

She's 14, now, and has always been my "good" cat.  She never causes any trouble, never starts fights with the other cats, though she will finish one if picked on.  She's not a lap cat, but likes to be near me, especially when I don't feel 100%, like this morning.  Don't worry, nothing serious, just a lousy night's sleep that has left me moving very slowly.  She always senses things like this, and comforts me with her presence.

This is one of her favorite "near me" spots, on the messy little table by my computer.  I couldn't decide whether I liked the picture taken without the flash or with it, so you got both.

Not all mornings are good...

Both picture made it. The first one shows how the mood. The second one brings out the drive to make the feeling good...

Luv it!..

Good Morning, Louise!

Know what you're feeling this morning, I too feel sluggish.

Darling Gina, she is such a sweetie!

Both pictures are fine, the no flash one shows a different mood, is all.

Gina is a beautiful calico!! She and Madi are natured a lot a like. Madi doesn't do laps either but she does like to be near...
It was 87 here at 9:30 am aka 8:30 am sun time. It will be a scorcher.
Hugs Madi and Mom

i adore 'near-me' cats. i've never been a big cat-in-the-lap person, but love it when a kitty wants to stay close. what a sweet girl...

Gina is beautiful. She looks great for 14. My kitty Meshach is also 14 and I try and treasure my time with him. He has always been 'the worlds best cat' too. Even when he thinks he is being wildly ornery it's still pretty mild. :-) Thanks for sharing this morning and hope you get to feeling better. This heat is making me sluggish.. ugh.

I am sure she made you feel better. It is sad, that cats neutralize negative energy, so maybe that is why she wants to be near you. She's one gorgeous cat!

She is lovely-she looks like my cat Hattie, she was a " special " too ! she used to chatter to me and loved being near me -hubby use to comment-hello it`s me and my shadow -whenever he saw us !

Gina is very pretty! I have always wanted a Halloween calico, my Callie is the muted calico. My Callie is not a lap cat either. I like the picture with the flash, shows her pretty fur.

I'm glad that you have your Gina watching out for you. Having a friend like her is amazing, isn't it?

She's beautiful.

I love how cats connect with the people they own.
We had a darling cat several years ago who never got on my lap, but would drape herself over my arm when I sat on the couch. (Especially when I was trying to write!)
Gina looks very content on her pile of stuff!
I also think flash is better. W/O flash the glass on the porch takes precedence!

Wait a minute, I thought this kitty was Becky.

I love the way cats pick out their special places.
