Pink Snow

Remember the beautiful flowers on the crab apple tree that I posted about a few days ago? This is all that's left.

I love it when it snows pink

a clinic I used to work at was on a narrow business strees with several grand old cherry trees.

One Spring we got a strong wind on a beautiful sunny afternoon. It started snowing a blizzard of pink. You could see people , adults, stop and look around in wonder. One man bent down and scooped up a handfull of petals and tossed them into the air, laughing

that is what it is all about.

Mike and I agreed that pink crabapples are our favorite trees.

Maybe we wouldn't appreciate them so much if their beauty wasn't so fleeting. Ours are getting pounded by a hot, dry wind. There won't even be any petals left.
