They're all packed up, and ready to be delivered today and tomorrow.
So far, I've had two different plants gifted to me this year. This is a blue geranium that I am very anxious to see in bloom. I'm not quite sure that this is where it will stay, but it can settle in there this year, while I decide if there might be a better place for it next year.
And, another friend gave me some hostas that I had a perfect place for in my shade garden.
Being able to do more gardening was one of the things that I was really looking forward to when I retired. So far, I've managed to get quite a bit done. But, I have lots more to go. I have quite a few perennials on order, that will deliver at the end of April. And, I also have the "garden from hell" to clean out. No pictures of that, because I'm too ashamed of it. I got busy last year and couldn't do much gardening at all, and, unfortunately, this one garden really, really suffered for it. I'll show you after pictures.

I love day lily and having seen Phlemmys hosta collection, am anxious to see what you have.
We have wildflowers here that are blue and members of the Geranium family, I have never seen them in the wild.
Nice thing about gardening, is that it does not have to be banged into place all at once, evolution and time.

The daylillies have already popped out of the ground this year? No sign of mine yet.
I bought some Blackberry bushes yesterday but don't know where to plant 'em AWAY from goats and chickens.

I don't have many hostas at all. Phlemmy, somehow, has managed to train her deer so that they don't eat them, but, around here, all hostas have to be placed very close to the house, or they get munched on. Besides these two, I did order a helicopter hosta. Sounds like a fun plant. The flower stems have leaves on them, so that the plant looks like a helicopter taking off.
Joanna, we've had a very warm Spring, and everything is way ahead of schedule. Believe me, I have to keep looking at the calender to be sure it's only the middle of April. That said, my hostas aren't up yet, and I was surprised as the dickens when these new ones were delivered to me.

We have hundreds and hundreds of day lilies...we need to find homes for them! Lots of hostas too (no homes needed for them).
Fortunately, the deer don't come near our farm...they must not like the horses.
