A Soft, Rainy Day

It has been raining since I got up this morning. And, it's the soft and steady rain that does so much good. No gardening today, but, then, no dragging the hose around watering either.

It hasn't stopped the little birds from feeding.

But, this turkey lady stood under the shelter of the lilac tree for quite some time, until the rain let up a bit and she could go on her way.

What a good day for staying home, curled up with a good book. Maybe I'll even break out a bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs, stockpiled from Easter.

Louise, while I got you, that picture at the top of the page is gorgeous, but it's huge, it takes me over 5 minutes to load. I almost just stopped it, but thought I would mention this.

I'm going to have to stop going to the blogs that take forever to load, much as I hate to. My server will just shut me down for over usage and not "sharing" time on the net.

Cannot believe you still have chocolate left from Easter!

Snork! I LOVE Cadbury's Mini Eggs. I usually buy four or five bags and carefully put them away. Then, when I want a special treat during the year, out comes one of those bags. Actually, I still have a container of Wegman's Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark from Christmas, also stockpiled. Hmmmmm, now, which to choose.

Dark chocolate sounds yummy on a rainy day, especially with a good book.

That works a lot better! I had to shut the comp (and the receiver) down for a couple of hours. If there was cable or DSL available here, I would get it in a heartbeat!

Still raining there? The humidity is awful and it's been 97 for hours. Miserable weather, either way.

Candy (even a stockpile) only lasts a couple of weeks here - no matter how much we get! :)

Oh my god you have chocolate tucked away, that would not work at my place, I would find it and eat it all at once. I am so bad when it comes to chocolate, I try not to have it in the house because I just can't control myself....arrrrghhhhh!
Steady rain...was more like a downpour here, and thunderstorm like I have never seen, thought I was gonna have a heartattack at one point, because it came out of nowhere and scared the heck out of me... it is so humid here....grrrr....:) But I am still smiling....mainly because I saw a cute ass today. :)

Oh these are lovely! Just stopped over from Selma's. She has your post featured at the top of her home page. I'm glad I did. G
