The Heat and Humidity Have Broken at Last

And, how can I tell? Because the cats are awake. I swear the have been sleeping 24/7 during the last few days. Except when it's time for food, of course.

Well, at least Leon's eyes are open.

Becky actually made it onto a chair. I get very few pictures of her without that reflection because she always has to follow me with her eyes.

Rachael was looking out of the window, but I stepped on a squeaky toy when I was trying to get her picture, and that caught her interest.

Gina, also, didn't make it out of bed. She looks a little crabby that she woke up.

I recognize the look on Gina's face:)) Cats are so expressive... they don't really need the words to tell us how they feel, do they?

I agree with Sandra, you can always tell what they are thinking and usually it's nothing good lol....

Here the cats are still flat on the floor or bathroom tiles

Being up or inside something = too hot

Your cats are gorgeous! Do they ever go outside or are they like DC and never go out? They sure do look healthy, their coats seem to say "Health" and their eyes are so nice and clear (well except for Becky, lol).

Your cats are just stunning!

Your cats are beautiful, especially Gina! Our cat, Hopi always lays on the kitchen tiles to stay cool when it's hot.

Becky's my favorite. She reminds me of my shy cat Niles, although they look nothing alike.

Shhhh, don't tell the others, but, Becky is my favorite, too. Not that I don't love all of them, but Becky has always been special, from the first day that I saw her.

Louise, you really have some lovely cats!! On Thursday I tried to catch a scrawny black kitten that was sitting on my driveway when I came home. Of course I couldn't get it to come to me, but left some food for it in hopes it would find it. Teh food was gone the next morning, so maybe it did, but I've not seen it again...I hope I do...poor baby...

What a handsome group. The felines have been very subdued here too.
