Out of My Rear Window 12/26/10

Oh my!  Here it is the 26th of December.   Christmas is over for another year, and all of the hustle and bustle has ceased.  Unless, of course, you are going out to shop the after Christmas sales.  I did that on line this morning and scored a set of flannel sheets and a down alternative comforter at about 60% off, with free shipping, no less.  Yay me!

It's dull and dreary outside.  Cold, too, at 21 degrees F.  At least, we're going to be out of range of the 'Nor Easter that is running up the coast.  Hope those of you who are in its path are snuggled down tight.

Not much activity at the feeders this morning.  I bet the birds are all off somewhere, sitting all fluffed up and waiting for me to get myself outside to put fresh seed down.  They're going to have to wait a bit, I have some stuff to get done first.

Have a Happy Sunday, and I hope you find some bargains, too, if you're looking.

'Morning Louise!
Hey, I didn't think about on-line after Christmas sales.......... I am not going out, that's for sure! We had another fresh snow this morning, I believe it's over, for now at least.
Happy Sunday!

I think you'll have plenty of need for those flannel sheets and comforter by the looks of your backyard! We got down to freezing overnight and the birds are swamping the feeders here in Texas - little do they know how tough the NY birds have it! :)

I cannot imagine the joy of flannel and comforter in such a season as this.

Safe them for after a long tough day when getting into that bed early and reading til you fall asleep

ah bliss

There is nothing cozier than flannel sheets and a Golden keeping my feet warm!! We need it today, even though we are the only part of Virginia that is probably NOT going to get any snow from this storm coming up the coast!

~Stay warm Louise!!~

We had no snow this morning. As for our feeder, we have had a Piliated Woodpecker every day the last 2-3 weeks now! They are not supposed to be around housing areas? He is HUGE! And NOISY! I can always tell when he's coming! It's so neat to see him up close. Beautiful red head.

Hi Louise:

Wanted to give you this web address - I tried to find a sunflower seeder with holes like the one I have and this is the closest I could find. Thought I'd pass it along in case you were interested in ordering one. Or maybe you can find one near you! I got mine at Big Lots which gets seconds from other stores and I've gone back and tried to buy more and they're out... :)

Ahhh, Big Lots. You never know what you're going to find, but you can get some real bargains there. I'll look into the one at Amazon. I do have to be careful, because, though the squirrels do get into every feeder made by man, they have a harder time with some, and that's the kind I try to buy.

Thanks for the tip!
