Magic Card Trick went off to Georgia, where his new owner is head over heels for him
Kenny Run will stay in Western New York State, and become a young girl's eventing horse.
Dance for Fashion headed for South Carolina earlier this week. She has already impressed her new owner with her "managing" ways, bossing all of the bigger horses around.
Red Streak represents one of the dangers of being one of our volunteers. He ended going home with a volunteer, and has settled right in.
Keen Isabella went to Texas, where she will be a broodmare, and be bred to a very fine stallion by the name of Sea Accounts next year.
Tally Me Out also went South, where she is very much loved by her new owner, whose blog I follow.
I'm Electric will be a polo pony
And Jade's Knight, Collected Debt and Out for Fame all headed out this past week for their new homes, as well.
So far, by a very rough count, we have placed about 110 horses this year. And, it isn't over yet. It's a good feeling knowing that we have helped these trainers/owners, who are very concerned about finding their horses good new homes, in their search. Not to mention all of the lovely creatures who will go on to new careers.
This year, we had horses go as far as California, and as near as a couple of miles down the street. But, wherever they go, the Finger Lakes Finest are bound to be loved and admired.

KENNY RUN
OMG what a fine neck!!!
Louise I love you and all you do for these grand animals
Kenny Run was the one who brought me closest this year to breaking my resolve not to have any more horses. Not only is he drop dead gorgeous, but his temperament is wonderful.
Thank you so much, Upupaepops. I love doing this and still, after all these years, look forward to going down to the track on Saturdays.
Such good work Louise. Thank you for giving all these horses another chance.
electric is a sweet little fella!!!!

Well, you know how I feel! It's appropriate that our "push" happens this time of year because it is my Christmas present too! Isobelle is a wise goat: she knows how hard you work and I thank you too, many, many times over.
Well done, Louise! You are a hero indeed. I'm sure they are all great horses, but Kenny Run is the one for me! Drool.
Thanks guys, but, gosh, I didn't post this to get praise, you know. foundationmare and Isobelle's Lady worked just as hard as I did, to find these horses new homes. It just makes me happy to think of them all safe and sound in new homes.
Kudos to all of you who work so hard to give these beautiful horses a second chance. It's a wonderful thing you are doing!

I'm so glad to see these beautiful horses find new homes. Thank you and thanks to all of the volunteers everywhere who help rehome foundlings!
This makes me love and admire you and your fellow volunteers. What a wonderful job you are doing, helping these beautiful animals get the good homes they deserve.--Inger
You and the volunteers have the Christmas spirit year round. I enjoy your updates. Just curious, on average, how much does it cost to adopt a racehorse?
Well done, Louise. What beautiful animals.
Louise, I am delighted to read of your success. What a joy to learn that these animals will have new homes for the new year. Congrats to you and your fellow volunteers.
