No, It's Not Sunday

I just thought that you would like to see what our snow looks like now.  We have been getting Lake Effected since Sunday afternoon.  Luckily, it's not a heavy snow, and the road crews are managing to stay ahead of it quite easily.  But, it just keeps coming.  I'm going out in a bit to shovel, again.

I don't feed the deer any more.  But, I do put cracked corn down, along with sunflower seeds, for the birds.  You can see the tracks where the deer came to the feeder last night, searching for food.
The Mourning Doves are waiting patiently for me to get outside and put some food down.  They're all fluffed up against the cold.
But, as I said, the roads are passable, and it hasn't stopped people from getting out and about.

I'm glad I didn't have to go out and face the morning rush, however!

Ooo! Those roads look slushy and blech. You have LOTS more snow up there Auntie L, and it's only about 45 miles away from ME! We have only about eight inches total from Saturday through today. My lady hasn't even had to use the snow blower yet. Aren't you going to go out and make a snow angel in all that lovely fluff?

I guess we are all in for a real winter this year. We just have the cold, so far. Good that you don't have to go anywhere! Glad you are feeding who you can!

slushy streets are the best Here they freeze solid and you skid on compacted snow and ice layers. and hills , terrible hills

I hope yu get a chance to get out and venture afield, even a little bit.

No hikes this week Upupaepops. I've got to stay pretty close to the house and the phone, so that I can stay on top of the horse placements. I REFUSE to use a cell phone for anything besides emergencies, so all I have is a cheap, pay as you go one.

If that snow were here in Virginia, I'd be at home now instead of work--You know what wimps we are in this neck of the woods when it comes to snow! Stay warm and safe!!

Cold here too--My little birds outside looked cold this morning and I made sure there was plenty of food for them.

Oh those poor little cold dovies! I love them so! Pretty soon the deer will just walk up and ring your doorbell, I'm afraid. :)
