Sunshine!

It's a bright, sunny day today. And, it's the first one we've had since New Years Day. I went out for a bit to enjoy it. It was nice to see shadows and blue sky.

The turkeys have been out and about.

I've added a new blog to the list of blogs that I follow. It's a blog by a doctor from the Albert Schweitzer Hospital, in Haiti. It offers a good, firsthand view of what these doctors are going through there, trying to care for the multitudes of injured.

just so heartbreaking to hear about Haiti, don't think we can fully comprehend it here.

Gaye, these pictures are really beautiful. I love the stark beauty of winter and your turkey track pic is really nice!

I, too, am in despair about the tragedy that hit Haiti, but am heartened by the outpouring of benevolence from all over the world. I think that, with the continued presence of the world in the aftermath of the quake, to stabilize government and rebuild infrastructure, Haiti has an opportunity to rise above it's long history of poverty. I really wish I could be there to help out. The faces of the children, especially, break my heart!
