Oh Dreary Day

e e cummings may say that in Spring "The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful", but, some days are just plain dreary. Today is one of them. The fog is lifting, but the heavy rain of last night has left puddles and all the branches of the trees with water droplets hanging from them.

The only creatures out and about are the squirrels, under the birdfeeder.

Even the cats are just sitting around staring at me wondering "What are we going to do today, Ma?" And, I'm stuck inside, waiting for a phone call from the cable people who are supposed to be here between 8 AM and Noon. Sigh, that's right, my brand new cable box, installed just about a week and a half ago, is capoot already.

Oh well, Monday is the traditional laundry day, and I guess that's what I'll be doing. And, on the good news front, by Friday, it's supposed to be 75 degrees and sunny out.

Erm, edited to add that the reason that the cable box wasn't working was that, apparently, one of the cats had knocked a plug thingie off of the back of the box. It took him all of 30 seconds to fix (Louise rolls eyes at own stupidity for not checking.)

Awww, those squirrels are so cute. It seems as though it is raining averywhere else but here. Northern Oregon is getting hit with lots of rain and according to the weather gal we are suppose to get high winds and rain. Um, where is it then! lol

we continue to have dreary weather too. Seems like we may get one day of sunshine per month. If the cable guys were to write a book...

I'm glad the cable box was easily fixable. Naughty kitty :)

I'm not fond of rain, but I'm even less fond of snow right now...and the weather folks are calling for some wet snow later this week. bleh!

What a nice well fed looking bunch of squirrels! :-) Too funny on the cable plug thingie. Boy, can I relate to that. I didn't have to have a repair person out, but my answering machine went out one day. "Parts" of it still worked and I was puzzled. Finally realized that the kittens had stepped on the 'off' button which turned it off from answering the phone, but kept all the other functions up. It's happened several times since then, the little dorks.
