Not in My Yard!

I love the critters that come into my yard. They give me hours of endless enjoyment. But, I think that I would feel just a little intimidated if I looked out the window and saw this fellow, like the parents of a friend of mine did. Luckily, the picture was taken in Venice, Florida, so he'd have a long way to go to show up here. I don't know if this is a bobcat, or a lynx.

How wonderful

We have Bobs Cougar and bear at the farm. I have only heard them in the woods, never seen.

The coyotes have no fear and wander the open as do the deer.

We are about 9 miles as the crow flies from downtown Redmond. I live there and once found a buck in the parking lot of my complex.

I have only seen bear and bobcat once while hiking in the high mountains.

I just love IsobelleGoLightly's comment, I guess that must be a goat's sense of humor. It cracked me up! I have bobcats in my yard every now and then, but the choice is to watch them or go get the camera and watching them always wins out, hence I have no great photos like this one to share.

Several people have heard strange noises at work in the parking lot (at 4 AM) and the consensus is bobcat. I have seen one not to far from the PO so it could be. I heard something one morning that had the hair on the back of my neck standing up. We have also heard the coyotes not too far away and it just seems strange because we are in between a business park and the airport, not way out in the country.

Wow! Amazing. Looks like a bobcat. Also I think Lynx are indigenous to the northern states and Canada.
