The Sun is Out!

For the first time in several days.  It's wonderful how just those few golden rays can improve your mood.  I'll have to use this sunny day wisely.

And, I have the whole day in front of me to use.  I was called to jury duty by my town, had to report last night for jury selection.  If I was chosen, the trial would be today, so I had to keep the day open.  I got to the court building last night, along with 20 other people.  We sat there, waiting, until the judge came in and told us that the case had been settled out of court, just 15 minutes earlier.  He apologized for inconveniencing us, and sent us home.  So, now, with no trial to worry about, I have this day to enjoy, any way that I want.

I wonder what the day will bring.  Something nice, I'm sure.  I'm such a lucky person, to be safe and sound and happy in a world that seems to be increasingly troubled.

Now, if I could just be as serene as these swans whose pictures I took a while ago.  Yup, still no desktop, and, so, no new pictures to post.

Of course, word has it that swans aren't nearly as serene as they appear.  But, in this instance, I'll just take them at face value.

Sigh, I can be very boring.  Added to say that what I have decided to do on my peaceful day is to cut down the black-eyed susans and the sundrops, and to do a couple of loads of wash.  What an exciting life I lead.

Sometimes these exciting lives can be a bit trying, Louise. I have one more patch of Black Eyed Susans to slaughter...I mean cut back! It gets to me by the end of the season!...:)JP

Exciting life, I am still in my robe.
