Pretty, Sweet Gina

is not at home today.  She is at the vet's getting a tumor removed, and her teeth cleaned.  She's 14, pretty old in the world of cats, and I worry myself sick any time one of my cats has to go under anesthesia, especially the older ones.  Fingers crossed that the tumor isn't cancerous.
Talk about timing -- just as I was getting ready to add this picture, I got a call from the vet.  Only one tooth pulled, she's awake and will be ready to come home in a few hours.  That's a huge stone removed from the pit of my stomach.

Becky has been very clingy today.  I think she misses Gina.  She'll be glad to see her come home.

Added at 5:15:  She's back, looks good.  I won't find out for about 10 days if the tumor was cancerous or not, but the vet says that she thinks she got it all.

Oh I know what you mean....
I'm so glad to read that Gina is awake. Becky will probably give her a good sniffing when she comes home. The vet smell seems to linger on them. Please keep us posted on the outcome of the tumor.

Hugs and snuggles to Gina,
Madi and Mom

I am glad you received the phone call in time to put the fresh good news in this post. Good luck, sweet Gina, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed the tumor is benign.

I'm so glad she just had to have a tooth removed and that she is okay after the anesthetic. I worry too, when they get older. We almost lost Rough (previous dog) because he didn't want to wake up and his temp kept going down. He did make it though and we had him a few more years.

I imagine all will be glad to see Gina back home! Especially you!

Hi Louise,
I sure know what you are talking about. I hope your sweet kitty girl rebounds quickly and that the tumor will be benign. I too have a 14 year old kitty and he is way to special to me! He has ongoing teeth issues and has been on meds for years now. It's always a relief when we get that call from the vet that they are waking up and doing fine!

Oh... what great news! I so know the feeling... Edward first appeared on our door one year ago Oct 3. Quite a year of operations for him (and us...that pit you talked about) but tonight... he was running all over the house and driving us nuts (but in a very happy good way!). Oh our animals... they make life so interesting and special!
What a beauty Gina is...!
Blessings for many more happy years together!
