Horseback Rider Delivers Medicine

I was going to post about the Turkey Ladies, but, blogger is being a pain and not letting me post pictures, for some reason.  Anyone else having the same problem?  I can download, but it won't transfer the pictures to the post I'm trying to finish.

So, instead, I'll just post this amazing video on YouTube.  This is a flooded Route 103 in Rockingham, Vermont.  Sometimes, one horsepower is better than many, many more.

Oh, that poor horse, you can see how it is struggling against the current!

Blogger has been a pain for me too, my posts come in way late (over a day after posting) hardly any one sees them.

Very brave -both the horse and the rider !glad the current wasn`t any stronger. x

Hmmmm, nope, Sharon, I'd have to disagree. He's alert, and at one place, gets a little looky, but his rider looked at the same spot first, so I would guess that there was something there. That's why he did a swing out in that one spot, not because the current was too much for him. He's on a loose rein, and, all in all, both horse and rider were remarkable calm and collected through the whole thing.

Wow this is cool!! I've seen horses swim before and it's just amazing how calm they can be--I'm sure it does depend here on the rider, but I'm really impressed!!

What an amazing video. Horses are absolutely magnificent creatures and have been dependable for 100s of years. Certainly the rider and the horse are very very trusting of one another.
I had a problem last night with pics and surprisingly with all my internet issues I was able to load one this morning.
I'm online until we get kicked off which could be minutes or hours.

agree with Louise in that this horse is alert seeking and active.

The rider leg-yields the horse and the horse responds. They were both working away / counter to the current ( looking to their right in the direction of the current.

Well done on them, nothing like a loose rein willing and trusting horse

and as far as picture uploads, I have issues randomly. You can sometimes seediscussion in the helpo forum.

Louise -- Amazing video. I must admit I did hold my breath for the rider and horse. But of course everyone on the scene knew everything was going to be fine or they would have tried something different -- barbara

I heard Vermont got the brunt of Irene!
You really should give NAET a try. It has been very helpful to a few members in my family.....from egg allergies to eczema!
