To be able to watch the antics of squirrels is worth the price of "squirrel-proof" feeders.

Perhaps he's related to the Flying Wallendas.

MOL about the only 100% squirrel proof feeder I've ever seen is one w/o any food in it.

I have the best luck with a barrel baffle and my 4 station shaft feeder sits in the middle of the back yard w/o any trees close enough for the squirrels to jump to it. It is fun each spring to watch he new squirrels climb up the shaft to the barrel baffle you can hear their little heads beating around inside the barrel looking for a way out.

My hummingbird feeder is amongst trees but it has a dome on it. That doesn't stop the squirrel from jumping onto the dome which causes the nectar to spill but the don't get any of it. LOL

Aren't the squirrels persistent? Just when we think we have found the perfect feeder, along comes Houdini!

Also took your walk within the Big Field. Oh my, so much to see. Loved the entire walk. Wow, that Albino Milkweed was a treat.
