Lake Ontario in the early Summer

Tuesday, I took a walk by Lake Ontario.  It was very quiet, not a critter to be seen, except this Robin, looking for food in a quiet little glen some distance from the Lake.
The Lake was calm, waves just gently slapping the shore.

Driftwood was piled everywhere, evidence of last Winter's fierce storms.
And, on the rocks, a miniature forest grew.
In the scrub near the shore, I found Dame's Rocket.  I thought I was too late to see that, so I was happy to see the pink and white blossoms.

This mystery shrub was in bloom.  I'm still trying to figure out what it is, and will update when I get an answer.  The shrub isn't much to look at, and I have to try and see if it's some kind of sumac.  But, the flower clusters are a lovely deep purple, with stamens full of golden pollen.
Edited to add that I got an answer from GardenWeb.  This plant is Amorpha fruticosa , False indigo, and, it is, of course, an invasive species.

And, in a secluded corner, I made the find of the day, lovely Canada Anemones, or Windflowers.  This is the first time I had seen them, and I was enchanted by their delicate flower supported by rather coarse leaves.

But, the overwhelming theme of the day was boats.  These two were on Lake Ontario.

And, these two were on the nearby Bay, where I found that the spot that I had gone to take pictures of all the goings on there had been posted as "Private Property, keep out."  Sigh.  I took these pictures from the road, but I have to find a new spot for pictures of birds and critters, I guess.

I covet one of those pontoon boats.

Lovely wildflowers! Your driftwood pics reminded me of the time I visited a friend who lives near Lake Erie, We went to the lake and I collected lots of those wonderful rounded rocks and driftwood and schlepped it all home on the airplane. Ss she hefted it onto the conveyor belt, the lady at check in asked if I had rocks in my suitcase ...
