Just a Rainy Old Day

And, I couldn't be happier.  The scattered showers that the weatherman predicted have turned into a steady rain that has been coming down for over an hour.  My dry and parched yard is just soaking it right up.

I didn't get out to feed the birds and critters before the rain started but, it doesn't much matter.  The only denizens of the yard in sight are this chipmunk, tucked in right beneath the bird feeder and the stump,
and Mr. Tom, patiently waiting it out under some bushes at the side of the yard.
But, I had better plan on getting out there, as soon as the rain lessens, because I'm guessing that there will be a stampede of critters, wanting their delayed breakfast.

Glad you are getting the much needed rain, you'll probably get more! I imagine the critters are happy for the rain too!

It's raining here too. Seems like it's raining all over the world, and not a day too soon.

We could use some more rain, too!
Were the birds waiting with their bibs on?

It's finally getting back to our normal dry-as-dust state after a wet (for us) summer.
