For Those of You Who May be Wondering, I'm OK

First of all, I want to thank you all for the wonderful messages of support.  They were really appreciated  and I am very grateful for everyone's thoughts.  Part of the reason that I'm down in the dumps is that it is proving to be very hard to get volunteers this year for the FLTAP Trainer's Listings.  A couple of the stalwarts have, because life has gotten in the way, been forced to drop out, or seriously curtail their involvement.

There's always some flux, but the loss of these two, and the fact that a couple of others have not responded to my email, means that we're seriously shorthanded.  So far, this year, there are only three of us.  We can function with that number, but it will be very hard.

So, please forgive me if I don't show up on your blogs for a while.  I'm OK, just kind of gob-smacked right now.  The Trainer's Listings mean a lot to me, perhaps a little too much.  It shouldn't take me too long to get back to my usual cheerful self.  I think of myself as a glass half full kind of person, though right now it is looking seriously half empty.

Sorry, dear. I know additional workload is still additional work - no matter how dear the cause. Hope you can get some rest too!

Oh Louise I feel for you looking for volunteers. It seems there are so many who enjoy sitting back and letting others do things....and that makes it so hard for folks like you and it makes you burn out!!! I hope as the weather improves folks will start remembering the need to help.

Hang in there and we'll be here when you return.
Hugs Madi and Mom

Hi Louise!
I don't call the cops till I can smell the body ;-)

I know you are busy and knew there had to be a reason for you being so bummed. We all know that the blogs come second after life.

I hope you get some real great help! So you don't have to burn the candle at both ends!

Oh my Louise, no wonder you are a bit down. Volunteers are a huge part in what you are part of. What you do is so wonderful and heartwarming. I truly wish I was closer because without a doubt I would be there helping.
Sending prayers and thoughts to the universe that you get more much needed help.
Hugs.

Louise, you have done wonderful work. I'm sure the burnout rate is high for volunteers. The need never abates and it is hard not to let it get to you. You may not be able to save them all, but for the ones you have reached you have changed everything.
