Down in the Dumps

I'm cranky and just a bit depressed today.  It's dark and dreary, and just kind of matches my mood.  Nothing is bad in my life, it's just that everything is kind of blah.  So, to match my mood, here are a couple of pictures of a visitor to my yard yesterday.

I think that American Crows are wonderful birds, so smart and cunning.  But, you have to admit that, shiny black feathers and all, they, physically, kind of match my mood.

Sigh, off to eat a ton of dark chocolate.

Awwww... We have a gray day here too and windy. All 5 dogs are inside and snoozing away. I'm ready to take a nap too. :)

I think the gloomy days, day after day, does something to us all. Curl up with that chocolate and a good book and feel better! Maybe ... the sun will be out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow......... there'll be sun! Tomorrow etc. I'll be thinking of you! (and that chocolate!)

Crows really are beautiful. We all "need" blah days so we can appreciate the good ones more. I think Sharon got the right recipe to spend that kind of days:)) Chocolate is always a good, soothing way to fight the blues.

i love crows! i just ate some choc chips, and feel the same way...when the hubby watches movies late into the night then bangs around waking me up, doesn't help to overcome the gray days!

Sorry you are feeling blue! Late winter in upstate NY can certainly do that to a soul. But spring and warm sunshine are coming soon. In the meantime, chocolate helps. :)

Go and pamper yourself- lots of bubble bath and a glass of wine with that chocolate to wash it down with !

We have only ravens, and not crows here. But, I agree - they're so *smart*!

I hope that your mood is looking up. We all have days like that - I've had my share lately.

Sorry to hear you are having a blue blah day. Did the chocolate help? Here's a hug for you. :)
Crows are so incredibly intelligent! Amazing birds.
Loved those pics of the swans. Wow!!
That squirrel doing his tree bark imitation is downright hilarious!
Very glad you made it out of the woods!
Hang in there, the winter blues will soon be gone and Spring will have arrived. Just think of all the beautiful colors awaiting! :)

I think the situation in Japan, all the sadness and loss, is adding to my down mood. I certainly felt it on Monday.

Getting out for a walk, of any kind and duration, should help lift some mood.

Spring starts Sunday !!!

Louise... The weather was just the same here yesterday. Today it is supposed to hit 60. We shall see. I'll bet that will make you feel better.

Morning to you all....you have had a very dreary and cold winter...which in itself is enough to bring on the blahs!!! I don't think I could ever adapt to seeing nothing but snow for month after months. I know you must be eager to get out for a nice walk on green grass on your spectacular trails.
Hugs, Madi and Mom

Sorry, you're feeling that way ... some days are just like that!

Took me some time here, to realize those are crows and not all ravens. Back home, the crows are gray and black.

Watched some nature program on TV about them, and I'll never look at crows the same way again. What a bird! They could recognize faces...

Gorgeous bird! And terrific close up photos. Looks like your snow is melting. That would cheer me up. And of course, chocolate always lifts the spirits. Enjoy a big chunk for me :)

We have a saying around here Louise: 'One crow sorrow, two crows joy.......'
So you see it wasn't in your cards to feel great and the crow knew that!
