Basking

Today, Gina informed me in no uncertain terms that she wanted out on the enclosed porch.  I leave it closed in the winter as there is no heat out there and it's not well insulated.  I looked at the temperature and found that the sun was strong enough to have raised the temperature to the same as it is in the house.  So, I opened the door and let her out.  Rachael and Leon soon followed.  Becky stuck her nose out there, but it's not one of her favorite places and she soon came back in.  Five minutes after I let them out, this was the scene.
Do you think I can count this as another sign that Spring is coming?

Sigh, it's a beautiful day here and I'm stuck at home, unable to hit the trails, because my car is in the shop for most of the day.  I didn't time that appointment right!

I laughed when I saw the picture, everyone (excepting Becky) was wanting their place in the sun! Very cute picture, Louise!

Happy March!

At least having the car in the shop frees up your day to play doorman to the cats! Cats know comfort.

I'd love to join them:))

Oh boy yes indeed that is a sign of spring...we have Cherry trees budding and daffodils are opened. After the winter you had we hope and pray all your grass will be greener!!
Too bad about the car being in the shop...maybe you should just go lay in the sun with the kitties.

That's awesome! I love seeing kitty cats lounging around - especially when there is sun involved!

What a good sign of Spring. Nothing finer than seeing a kitty laying in a sunpuddle! I'm hoping to build an attached 'kitty run' for my mob this Spring. I'm excited about it, as I know they need more room and things to occupy them.

Now they are smart cats! What a great and classic picture of feline behavior.

Definitely a sign of Spring! :)
How cool to have a room like that ... they really seem to be enjoying themselves.

I'm playing musical cats lately. Open the door and one bolts in while another bolts out. They want out but there's still too much snow for them to wander anywhere.

Hey Louise,
Madi has been drinking water from fountains since she was about 6 mos. At first she loved dropping her milk jug ring toys in it to watch them float..she got kind of messy. I kept it on a towel for a while. All of a sudden she quit playing in it. She loves drinking from the water falls and often can be found with her chin on the edge watching the water.
Have a good day I hope you were able to get out and about today. It is pretty here.

Love seeing all those beautiful kitties on the warm porch. Yes, it's another sign...

Every year, it gets warm enough to go on our deck (50 deg is our threshold) before the snow melts off of it. So, the Runner shovels a place for my La Fuma in the midst of the drifts. We haven't hit 50 yet here!

I hate it when the timing works out so badly for a beautiful spring day. It seems that I always end up with dentist appointments on those days. Ugh.
