Our Turn

After a winter where we were spared the brunt of many of the major storms that hit the East Coast, we're finally in line for a major winter storm.  They're predicting 9 to 15 inches of snow to fall tonight and into tomorrow.  That's a lot, but I think that we will be able to handle it.  Though, it's going to be one of those times when I'm very glad that I don't have to pack up and go to work, but can just sit and watch it out of the window.

Leon, however, is not so sure about this ability to handle the snow.  So, he has his cave all picked out, just in case.

We're in line for the same storm. I bought extra groceries, just in case we're snowed in for a few days. Tell Leon he just needs to find a good book, relax and enjoy the beauty of the snow!

We are waiting for "the worst storm, yet" as the weatherman put it. I believe we will get more ice than snow, it's still raining. It's definitely on it's way! Keep your rear window clear! LOL!

Why do cats like to be under chairs?

Stay warm!

You are getting 'our' storm, which barely left snow but brought cold, cold temps. I guess it's gonna pick up moisture from the lakes. I'm so sorry! I know how bad those Rochester storms can be. The NE is really having a tough time this year!
My kitties are holed up in the barn. Since the temps were going well below 0 last night I tried to get them in the tack room where I could at least plug in a heater. No way! They wouldn't have anything to do with it. I guess they have made a cave in the hay like Leon has his cave in your house.
Stay warm and stay indoors!!!!

Leon is one smart kitty, lol! Seems this storm has a lot of us in it's path, we are expecting about the same amount of snow as you. I'm hoping the universities will be closed and we will have a snow day :-)

Leon looks safe and warm even if there is a storm coming. We are supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow here in Iowa tonight, it is really windy already and snowing. I am also glad I don't have to get out in the weather tomorrow.

We're next in line. We get them all. The weather man now talks about "this week's storm"... For us, it's alright -- we just sit back and watch, we don't have to go to work.

McDuff started early, this afternoon he checked out his 'condo' underneath the kitchen sink. Opened the door, stepped in half-way, and saw to that everything was alright. It started to snow already this afternoon, but I don't think that has to do with this storm.

Stay warm! :)

Louise we hope this storm comes and goes quickly and the temps warm up enough to melt some of it.
You all hunker down and stay warm.

Not having to worry about going to work in that mess is a blessing. That is what I've told myself all winter...next year this time I won't have to worry. I'm officially under 2 months to retirement.

While I was home yesterday I noticed many many finches at my thistle feeder!!
