A Moment's Panic

Oh boy!  Just had my grey hair generating moment of the day.  I looked out of the window at the bird feeder as I was passing by.  I saw a bright flash of yellow, that looked like it was on the side of the feeder away from the window.  Oh no, thought I, someone's canary or parakeet has gotten loose.  How in the world am I going to catch it?  Then, I looked again and saw that it was a yellow Maple leaf, stuck to the side of the feeder.  PHEW!

Lol, I can see why you thought that way, it does look like a canary :)

Quick glances can make you think all sorts of things! Happens to me all the time!

We have goldfinches here, at least most of the year, I wouldn't have paid much attention until the poor "bird" had been sitting there for a long time.

How scary! Remember, Auntie Louise, the story you told me about being at work one day and in the company of co-workers, and you looked out the window, saw a cloud formation and you pointed and shouted, "LOOK! IT'S ABRAHAM LINCOLN". hee hee hee hee

How great that you could capture the leaf! I can understand your worry though -- I thought I saw a kitten the other day, but it was just a ground squirrel!! Is this old age or what?!-Inger
