Better late than never, I guess. Here's the view from this morning. Definitely Fallish, though we're having a lovely warm spell. The goldfinches are still busy. This picture was actually taken during a slow period.
They ARE the cutest little birds. And noisy! Every time I go out I hear them chittering away.

What a good idea this rear window view was. I really enjoy seeing the change in seasons. And the little birds are adorable. I have so many finches and sparrows here, but no idea what they are. I must give myself that Sierra book I heard about a while ago for a Christmas present. Too bad amazon.com is messing up right now, I don't feel like ordering from them until they get it together.
Happy to see you - and your back yard! I know you are so busy, but I can still say - I miss you!

I was a bit concerned about the lack of Sunday AM pics but I know you have been every which way
No phantom Gold Tanager this time :-D
You still have green grass! And leaves!
I ADORE goldfinches! We've had some arrive this past week in Texas and I've taken some photos of them as well. Wish they stuck around longer, but I know they're just passing thru...
Love them on that feeder!
Aren't they the cutest!! All of ours have headed south for the winter. They're not only cute, they're SMART!

Our feeders are busy too--I've finally got the new ones put up and the word must be out, because we are seeing an increase of birds, mostly chickadees who get impatient as I fill the feeder. They come so close I could almost reach out and touch them--They are so cute!
Hasn't the weather been great? Things are gearing up at the bird feeders here too. Lots of goldfinches and chickadees and blue jays. Fun to see the winter crew.
I just love gold finches....even though their brilliant yellow has disappeared they are such happy little birds.

We did this for years and loved the birds coming and flitting about. Then one day four legged creatures were seen cavorting around under the feeders...you guessed it...rats! No more...all gone and so are the feeders...so sad!
I am looking forward to your snow pictures soon!
how quickly do things move on eh?
