Because I'm busy trying to find beauties like these homes.
End of the season crunch is hitting hard, and early, this year. Weekends are the busiest times. Saturdays, I'm down at the track, taking listings of new horses that have to go on the list. Sundays are devoted to getting my pictures, and the pictures of other volunteers, sorted out and matched with the descriptions that are written. Then, I start networking. I network all week, but it is busiest on the weekend.
So, please forgive me if I don't visit your blog and leave a comment as often. Believe me, I miss not doing it, but, often, I'm just too tired.

PPC is only four years old, and General John is a real baby, at three. General John and his stablemate Dewanna Brushon Me, are two that I am very concerned about as their trainer doesn't hold on to his horses long.
What a big wonderful heart you have!!! Those beauties are lucky to have you in their corner...

I've read that the solution to 'planned obsolence' in computers and electronics is to make manufacturers responsible for appropriate recycling and disposal.
It seems to me that taking responsibility for the longterm welfare of animals should also be manditory for people who make a living off them.

AJ-OAKS, thanks for the question about the URL for the Trainer's Listings. I've added it to my post. I don't do facebook. That's because I don't understand it at all. I go to the site, and just stare. I did sign up as an individual once, but I forgot my password, and my email has changed, so I can't get back on. Sigh, I'm such a duffer at this computer stuff.
I love your new header... and the way you work to give these horses a chance for a decent life. Kudos for your efforts. I agree with all the others...commenting on blogs is not nearly as important.
That sure is a lot of heart wrenching work too, and I am sure as much as it is physical exhausting it is also emotionally draining. You sure make such a different for these amazing beauties...so keep it up.

I know not much about horses, but they look like good healthy babes, it's sad to know they are just 'products' to some people. But then, that's how I have gotten most of my animals, I was told if I hadn't called the place what I did, I should have named it Rescue Ranch.
So, you just keep "horsing around", we can wait for bloggy biz!

Ooh, I'm just getting to read this post, and it makes me sick.
What beautiful horses... I 'spect they just didn't perform at the top of their game and so are cast aside.
I work with a spay and neuter clinic, we see this everyday, animals abanonded for the least excuse, it's heartwrenching.
I pray these equine beauties get their chance in life, to give enjoyment and be loved unconditionally.
You are to be commended for your efforts !

What you do is so important, just look at those faces you are trying to help. I used to ride horses in my younger days. I once won a week at a riding camp and got to ride some wonderful retired racehorses. It was like sitting on air or a fast moving cloud. I'll never forget it, so different from any other kind of horse I ever rode.
