Out of My Rear Window 10/17/10

It's a lovely Fall day.  The squirrels and the goldfinches are enjoying the feeder.  In the background, you can see that the Box Elder tree is almost bare, already, and its leaves lie discarded on the ground.  As I was taking photos, all of the small birds suddenly flew away.  I saw why when this pretty, and noisy, fellow landed on a feeder.
Have a happy and safe Sunday.

LOL! Those Blue Jays can be quite the bullies, can't they?

Happy Sunday!

They're so beautiful, they're nice to have visiting, even if the other birds object!

That Blue Jay is absolutely stunning!

Love the blue jay! No blue jays, no cardinals, no squirrels here, but we do have thirteen stripped ground squirrels.

This fellow reminds me of a few students I had during my teaching career......noisy, clumsy and demanding attention all the time. But what personalities they had! And very colourful indeed.

I love Blue Jays, even though they can be so noisy and so mean to other birds or animals.

I see some fall colors in the background. We don't have Blue Jays here. Ours are Scrub Jays -- I think Western Scrub Jay is the accurate name. They are noisy too.

Hello Louise!! I had Blue Jays out at my feeder this morning too--They are taking the peanuts meant for the squirrels who are showing up with all their friends! The Red Wing Blackbirds have shown up too, I think I am going to have to start buying more food.

I hope you've had a good weekend!!

Good morning Louise....
What a nice picture. Your trees are certainly way ahead of us. We are just seeing the very first signs of fall in our trees.
