Turkey Trot

I've been meaning to take my camera out when I feed in the morning, to try and catch Mr. Tom's antics.  He's getting pretty bold, even though I try to chase him every time I am out there, just so he isn't too easy a target for any poachers who happen to hunt back in the woods.  He's a very strange bird.

What fun!! It's like he's playing a game of 'now you see me, now you don't!' :-)

Hee, good video. I love the way he tries to hide behind the tree. He IS very tame. The ones I see around here don't like me looking out the window at them. Lots of turkey hunting here, so that's good.

Ring around the rosie!
Is that just a loose feather on his chest?

I'm amazed by his boldness, especially with you trying to chase him away.

What is that on his chest? Is it a loose feather as Terry guessed?

Our turkeys are very afraid of humans so we'd never have an interaction like that one with a turkey. Thanks for the video. It's fascinating!

This being Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, he doesn't want to be venturing across the border!
I think he is trying to thank you for all the food you have given him and his 'gals' over the past while! It's a 'thank you' dance....or something.....
