It's called a Kuranda bed, and I bought it because it's up on legs. You see, Becky has this bad habit of sleeping, when it's cold, directly on the register. That's good for her, but not so good for my heating bill, because it takes the furnace much longer to keep the room heated. I figured that I'd put the new bed directly over the register. That way, Becky could get heat from it, and there would still be room for the heat to disperse throughout the room.
She didn't seem to understand the concept, at first.
But, Rachael said "No, you silly little thing, THIS is how you do it."
Becky is many things, but, dumb is not one of them. "Ohhhhh," she said, "Now I get it. Very comfortable."
Let's just hope she keeps on thinking that.

Now I know that I want to come back as a cat!.....in YOUR HOUSE!!! lol
Great bed.
Great idea -we have a cat bed that clips onto a radiator-will our cat use it ? nope ! prefers to lie on top of my laptop-knocking all my setting out ! oops
Misskitty takes over the dog bed which is in front of the french doors and between to vents....
Enjoy
you need to put your bed over the heater not the cat's
How funny!
We had a cat that liked to sleep on top of the gas space heater. She had discovered, during mild weather, that the pilot light kept it nice and warm. The first time she jumped up there when the heater was on she was in for quite a surprise! (Not burned paws... but a very fast moving kitty!)
MOL the things we get you 2 leggers to do for is are amazing and we appreciate it. Now everyone is happy...that is unless one is on the top bunk and the other decides to sleep on the vent.
Hugs
Madi
i sure hope so, for your heating circulation! :)
Great solution for you all! Very funny, too!
At first I thought you wrote "Konundrum Bed"
Cause Becky laying on the register was quite a conundrum. *nodding head*
But it sure looks like that problem is solved, thanks to the lovely Rachael!

Oh and I meant to add that I had a lop-ear bunny that insisted on sleeping on the registers during the summer when we lived in South Carolina. I let her, because the only other option I had was to lay an ice block on the floor for her to lay on. lol!

Oh I can't wait for an update on this one lol....I bet once the furnace blasts heat...she will be back to her old way lol.

Rachael's going to want one too.
My PITA cats won't use their various beds, even when I put the beds in their favorite spots!
They prefer to sleep on the back of the couch cushions and smash them down. Sigh.
LOL ... she looks quite comfy! I would think she'd get to hot on the vent though. Silly kitty!
Both you and your kitties are brilliant!
Ah, what a cute post. That should be a brilliant spot for Becky. Hope she sticks with it. You're a caring catowner.
