The natural world around me, both a few steps and a few miles, away.
LOL that is hilarious...strutting his tail feathers for sure....Oh my gosh I think my first day of retirement is going well. However, Madi and her Dad have given me demerits....Tough snuff I'm here to stay,Hugs C
Wow! What a beautiful collection!
Ooooooo! He's beautiful! Our turkeys down here are very careful about not being seen so it's rare to see a nice strutting Tom.
And a right handsome dude he is. Soon is spring mating season and his ladies will be following.BlessYourHeart
Great sequence!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
so beautiful! you see such great things out your back window...
Huh!? are they blind or what?
Oh, he loves himself huh? Let's see if he can put his "money" where his beak is!
He is such a handsome fellow - the ladies seem to be playing it cool though ! while he struts his stuff !
He's going to be one busy fella! Better stock up for next year, I predict additions to this 'flock'!Thanks for 'lead' re Red polls. I've subscribed to Cornellbirds.com.Great photos by the way.
What a great sequence of photographs. They really made me smile. He certainly is a handsome feller, and you're right - the ladies barely spare him a glance. (Yet.)
What great pictures Louise!! If those girls aren't impressed, I am--He must've known he was going to be posted on the internet and wanted to look his best!! :-)
Isnt he wonderful. How great will the day be when they bring in little ones!!!SageGgrouse hens do this too. The male gives his all and they just seem to stroll around like they are browsing at Nordstroms and not finding anything to grab their interest.
Oh, those guys, always trying to show off their manliness!
Hmmm.... Maybe, they were impressed BEFORE they showed up and they thought he needed something to eat to gather his strength?
He is beautiful. And what fun to have such large birds in your yard.--Inger
Wow, that dude found an entire flock of chicks to hang out with!I love those photos. Wonderful!
He is so handsome, and the ladies are pretty too,for sure!
Our girls just came back yesterday and brought a tom with them. Much like your girls, they didn't seem impressed!
i love it. i wonder what kind of nests turkeys make to hatch their eggs.and even if those girls aren't impressed with all the puffery, i am!
Wow! What a bird ... never saw anything like it :)
Oh my word! He's gorgeous! I love those stripped side feathers.
How utterly charming, to have a male displaying in your backyard!
Beautiful! I wish our turkeys would come a bit closer to the house.
