Lazy

I admit it, I'm a wee bit on the lazy side.  I'm not a great cook, I'm not any kind of housekeeper at all and I have no really creative hobbies.  I have to kick myself, a lot of times, to get up and get going.

Today is a kick day.  I have a lot I have to do, including, horror of horrors, a trip to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles.  But, given my choice, I'd rather be doing this.

Maybe there's a reason why I'm a cat person.

MOL...LOUISE YOU ARE TOO FUNNY.
TOO BAD WE CANNOT ALL GET BY WITH SLEEPING 23 HOURS A DAY AND EATING FOR A TOTAL OF 1 HOUR...THEN STARTING THE ENTIRE PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN.

How's your blood? Maybe you need a transfusion!

The more I'm around my cats, the more I can relate! Some mornings it's really hard to go to work when all the kitties are snugged up by the fire. Love the picture.

LOL! My doggies will often give me the same "to do" list. :) Love it!

And I'm with you - I'm not an energetic sort either. I'd rather not worry about the dusting or vacuuming, and would rather enjoy my day as it comes. :)

I guess I would be lazy too, if I didn't have to answer to anyone - Jack and Jill don't use a potty box - I am up and down all day letting someone in or out!
Is that heating pad turned on?

Sharon, yes, the cushion is heated. It's a special cushion, just for cats. There's a flat, plastic coated, heating element inside of the special cushion. It heats it just enough so that it is comfortable for the cat, but there isn't enough heat so that it could burn. I have that one, and a couple of other larger ones scattered around the house. In the Winter, they are usually occupied. The covers on all of them come off to be washed.

Maybe you need a Jack Russell Terrier like Thistle to liven up your days!!! Hee hee! He loves cuddling and snuggling very much but also love, love, loves his walks!

What a great idea for the cats. I miss my cats so much, but as you know I'm busy with my dogs and only have energy for so much these days. I'm off on a little nature hike right now with Angel. You may think you are lazy, but you are my inspiration when it comes to walks. This year has made me lazy, but I will fight it.--Inger

Never knew you could get heated cushions ! I wouldn`t mind one of those for myself let alone for my cat !

"today is a kick day"

love this, often describes my attitude.

I am finding it hard to find inspiration for getting out and about. Hoping there is a rain shadow this weekend so I can go on a hike

I feel exactly the same way as you, Louise. I'm not into cooking, don't have any real hobby except the photo. My cat McDuff is sleeping here beside me on the couch right now. It looks so good ... noone can relax as a cat. That's a great idea about the heated cushions! I didn't know they existed. We bought him a little bed but he hasn't shown any interest in it ... yet.

I hate to go to the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. I would whether stay with the cats, too. Nice and warm!!

Hey Louise!! You know, dogs do the exact same thing!! But if given the choice between the DMV and something else, I'd always take something else too!!

THANKS for the advice on the feeder--That was exactly what it was, I hadn't noticed. The finches are once again enjoying it! And the stray cat is enjoying the birds too, I saw it again today and I'm pretty sure it's stalking the birds...

I think that everyone gets lazy when it's time to go to the DMV! That's a cozy looking cat.

Not lazy, it's called rest and everyone needs it! Lovely photo. I must see if a heating pad like that is available here.

Cute post :)
We should all strive to be more like cats, I think.

As for me, I'm more of a 'sprinter' kind of gal. I'm lazy most of the time, but sometimes get a bug in my ear and do some busy sprinting around, cleaning, hiking, barn work, cooking....and then not too long afterwards, I'm once again sprawled out again doing nothing. lol!
